Web1 Answer. My 2006 Sonata does this frequently. I just had the brakes repaired (pads, calipers, rotors machined) four days ago, and the light came on last night and then again this morning. I was told by the dealer's service department that it would have to be checked, and that the ABS brakes don't have much to do with the regular brakes.
