WebSep 13, 2012 · Fort Fisher State Park is one. Easy to get to, a fair fee and LOTS of room to spread out. We were there on a Sunday, and had hundreds of yards between us and others on the beach. It was great fun driving to the shore, setting up our beach tent and enjoying the ocean. We may as well have been on our own private beach.
