A diagnosis of high blood pressure is usually based on the average of two or more readings taken on separate occasions. Blood pressure is grouped according to how high it is. This is called staging. WebReferrals If you wish to claim Medicare rebates you must have a valid referral. A valid referral can be for 12 months from your General Practitioner or 3 months from your specialist.
